Traction coatings

Traction coatings enable product to move through a manufacturing process at increased line speeds.

Why Traction Coatings?

In order to handle product and move it through the production process, traction is needed for grip to either pick it up or push / pull it along. Marcote traction coatings alter surface roughness, texture and hardness to control the level of grip (sometimes called non-skid), creating optimum drive without marking or scratching your product. 

If your product has a sticky surface, then in addition to our coating providing the traction needed we can provide a non-stick top coat for release. 

Performance Properties

 

The profile of the coated surface also impacts performance. Nickel alloys have very angular peaks while those Tungsten Carbide are more rounded. Rounded peaks are not going to snag on woven fabrics running over them for example.
